At what point did the thought of the commute overpower going out and having a good time? 🤔 My guess is when the 10 mile ride started taking over an hour due to traffic that just won't quit.🚗🚗🚗
Being social, with good company, greatly supports both the body and the mind. So why don't we do it more often? Because it requires effort. And all week long we are out here "efforting", so on the weekends we just want to replenish. The interesting part is getting with loved ones, old and new friends, is the exact thing we need to lighten the load, put a smile on our faces, joy in our hearts, and balance in this thing called life.
This summer I was very intentional about spending time with friends and family. And guess what? Happiness is what I remember. Not the traffic jams. This journey to better health requires some effort - even for a good time.
